That’s a BINGO!

Proceeds totalling $25,000 from the Owensville Lions Club’s Tuesday evening Bingo games are being donated to the Lions Foundation for continued development of the group’s sports complex on the west side of town, according to Ron Copeland, a  Lions member and co-chairman of Bingo. Kim Milare, of Owensville, celebrates after winning the $1,194 progressive game on Nov. 14. Rhonda Scheel, Owensville, won an earlier game. “We had a dry spell lately,” she told table mate Mammie Landwehr. Lions member Larry Geisler reads off a raffle number for one of the 10 turkeys the Lions gave out by random draw to their weekly game participants. Fifty-six players participated in the games last week. Patty Story marks her cards. She said she enjoys the Tuesday games weekly, which begin at 6:30 p.m. (no games are held on Halloween, Christmas or New Year’s Day).
