Anna Highfill

Anna Faye Highfill, 92, rural Morrison and Hope, died Thursday, May 24, 2018, at her residence.

She was born Dec. 30, 1925, to Thomas and Pearlie (Collins) Luna, in Dora.

She was united in marriage to W. O. “Slim” Highfill, May 24, 1942, in West Plains.

Anna Faye attended a one room school in Dora and then high school in West Plains. She was employed as secretary for family owned Outboard Service located at St Charles. She served the boat and outboard motor sales and service business for 27 years, retiring in 1978. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Linn Family Worship Center, located east of Linn. 

She was preceded in death by parents, Thomas and Pearlie; husband, “Slim”; daughter-in-law, Doris Highfill; and son-in-law, Brent Eberling.

She is survived by sons, James Eldon Highfill, of the home, and Daniel Ray Highfill, Kansas City; daughter, Judy Ann Eberling Baue and husband Curt, St. Charles; sisters, June Wade and husband Harry and Leilani Isaac and husband Cecil; and two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 26, at Morton Chapel, Linn. Interment was in the Shirley Mint Hill Cemetery near Chamois. Memorial contributions suggested to the Shirley Mint Hill Cemetery.
