RESULTS as of 9:35 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2019:

Gasconade County voters rejected a half-cent sales tax proposition for county law enforcement operations by a vote of 1,107 no to 732 yes in 17.68-percent turnout.

Owensville voters on Tuesday approved a quarter-cent increase to the city's sales tax rate to support parks operations by a vote of 121 to 111 in final, but unofficial, tabulations available at 8:31 p.m. April 2.

Bland voters approved Lee Medlock for mayor and Sherry Spradling for alderman at-large. The two remaining alderman at-large seats will be determined by write-in candidates at the next city meeting. Write-in candidates will be available Wednesday, April 3, at www.GasconadeCountyRepublican.com.

HERMANN RESULTS: 
Hermann voters rejected a street bond question. It required a four-sevenths majority for approval since this is an odd-year (2019) April election. The question received 298 yes votes and 265 no votes.

BLAND RESULTS:

The city of Bland had two aldermen at-large write-in seats avilable in addition to alderman at-large incumbent Sherry Spradling's declaration for the third at-large seat and Lee Medlock's declaration for mayor.
Spradling and Medlock won their seats by default as they ran unopposed. The two remaining at-large positions received the following write-ins for the two-year seat: Diana Mayfield with 16 votes, Tommy Thompson with 15 votes, Josh Jarvis with one vote and Rodney Lexa with one vote.

The alderman at-large one-year seat received the following votes: Diana Mayfield with nine votes, Tommy Thompson with five votes, Dave Ryan with two votes, and Jill Scholttog and Rita Medlock each received one vote.

"We frequently have written votes and will have some today," election judge Beth Witte said.

Write-in candidates cannot be declared winners until the city clerk determines if they meet qualifications to serve.

At the end of the close of elections, Bland precinct had 169 voters turn out.
