Area man arrested on Phelps County grand jury indictment warrant

A 36-year-old man from Bland was arrested Jan. 26 by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on a felony warrant out of Phelps County alleging second-degree domestic assault.

Thomas J. Lingo was taken into custody at 6:25 p.m. in Osage County and transported to the jail in Linn. Lingo, who has addresses listed in Owensville and Bland on recent court cases, was indicted Jan. 23 by a standing Phelps County grand jury.  A class D felony warrant issued was Jan. 24, according to records on Case.net. The warrant was served Monday. Bond was set at $25,000. The charge stems from an incident at a residence on Phelps County Road 7480 and reported New Year’s day.

Lingo is “alleged to have punched ‘A.K.,’” who was “a family or household member in a continuing romantic relationship,” according to Bradley Neckermann, assistant prosecutor for Phelps County. The couple is not married. Lingo was no longer in custody of the Osage County jail as of Tuesday morning.
