Arnold Bossaller

Arnold Bossaller, 86, Linn, died April 1, 2018, at Gasconade Manor, Owensville.

He was born July 21, 1931, to Henry G. and Louise C. (Leimer) Bossaller, in Linn.

He was united in marriage to Maxine Elizabeth Ahrens, Sept. 4, 1954, at Zion Church, Bay.

Arnold was a 1949 graduate of Linn High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He had been employed at General Motors, St. Louis, McQueen Chevrolet, Owensville, as a janitor at the Osage County Courthouse and was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Freedom, and Linn VFW Post #4756. 

Arnold enjoyed working on his farm, deer and turkey hunting, fishing and cutting wood and grass but his greatest joy came from spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Louise; brothers, Charles, Emil, Louis, Victor and Cecil Bossaller; and sisters, Cora Boyce and Viola Engelbrecht.

He is survived by wife, Maxine; children, Edwin Bossaller and wife Cindy L., Mt. Sterling, Patty Walkenhorst and husband James, Gerald, Clifford Bossaller and wife Cindy K., Washington, Lisa Walsch and husband Steve, Freedom, and Herbert Bossaller and wife Elva, Broken Arrow, Okla.; sister, Vedabelle Kixmueller, Freedom; and by 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 7, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Freedom, with Pastor Paul Landgraf officiating. Interment was in Pilgrim Lutheran Cemetery with full military honors. Memorial contributions suggested to the Pilgrim Lutheran Cemetery Fund.
