Billy Eugene Decker, 84, Gerald, passed away Friday, April 26, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Washington.
He was born Aug. 20, 1934, to Oliver and Ruby (Butler) Decker, at Bland.
He was united in marriage to Nancy Vaughn, Nov. 29, 1974, at Bland.
Billy served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Bland. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, his dog and pitching horseshoes.
He was preceded in death by parents, Oliver and Ruby; brother, Charles Decker; sisters, Helen Berniece Ruffner, Shera Fleischmann, Betty Lou Thompson, Erline Vincent, and Edith Decker in infancy; and great-granddaughter, Summer Miller.
He is survived by wife, Nancy, of the home; children, Billy Decker Jr. and wife Claire of Lafayette, La., Ed Decker and wife Sherri of Newburn, Tenn., Vicki Weidner and husband Jeff of Owensville, Gary Decker and wife Nice of Union, Curtis Vaughn and wife Dianne of Durant, Okla., Karen DeLong and husband Mark of Palm Bay, Fla., Dennis Vaughn and wife Shelia of Bourbon and Glenn Vaughn and wife Joan of Owensville; sister, Patsy Vincent and husband Larry of Warrenton; and 24 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 2, from 4-8 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville. No other services are planned. The family request in lieu of flowers, memorials be given to family’s choice.
