Gary and Carolyn LaBoube of Hermann, wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Mindy, of Hermann, to Jason Schmelz of St. Charles, son of David Schmelz and Denise Pohl, also of St. Charles.
The bride to be is a 2003 graduate of Hermann High School and a 2007 graduate of Missouri State University where she doubled majored in Criminolgy and Sociology. She is employed by the Washington Police Department as a police officer.
Her fiance is a 2000 graduate of St. Charles High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 2001 as an Infantryman. He served four years, including two tours in Iraq and was honorably discharged in 2005. He now works for the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office as a deputy.
The wedding is planned for Aug. 22, 2009 at 2 p.m. at St. George Catholic Church in Hermann.

David Olson and Kayla Brown would like to announce their engagement.
Kayla is the daughter of Greg and Sheila Brown of Gerald. She is a 2005 graduate of Owensville High School and will graduate in May 2009 with a degree in Secondary English Education.
David is the son of Dave and Laurie Kinred and the late Raymond Olson of Kansas City, Mo. He graduated in May 2007 from Southwest Baptist University with a degree in Accounting. He is employed by the State Auditor’s Office.
David and Kayla are planning a November 2008 wedding.

Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Johnson of Union would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Nicole Johnson, to Ryan Scott West. Ryan is the son of Dan and Judy West of Rosebud. A wedding is planned for June 13, 2008 at the Faith Baptist Church in Washington. The couple will reside in Washington. |
