Local Republicans were signing the blues this past Wednesday following
the Nov. 4 election where Democrat Barack Obama was selected president
and four of the five top state offices went to Democrats including the
governor’s office.  JIM JENKINS looks over his General Election ballot Nov. 4 at Owensville’s Ward 1 polling station at Fire Station No. 3 with his son, Jimmy, Jr., 2. Jenkins and his son were waiting while his wife, Ashley, cast her ballot.

Owensville officials are advertising for formal Requests for Proposals
(RFP) on the city’s power grid and electrical generation system. City
Administrator John Tracy said it was another step toward getting the
city out of the electric business and is needed to determine what value
the city’s system has on the open market.`

Nearly 5,000 Missouri residents due IRS refunds, stimulus checks |

ST LOUIS — The Internal Revenue Service is looking for 4,963 Missouri
taxpayers who are missing refunds and stimulus payments worth more than
$3 million.
