After traditionally opening against Fatima, Owensville started their 2008 season on the friendly confines of Lion Field against Steelville’s Cardinals.

Twenty-three athletes from the Mid- America Acro & Tumbling team traveled to Des Moines, Iowa from July 25 - 31, to compete at the USA Gymnastics National Championships in Acrobatic Gymnastics. They had three days of training before events began on July 28.

For the 2008 edition of Dutchgirl softball, youth will be prevalent as only six girls on the rosters are juniors or seniors.
