Carl Leland Michel, 85, Owensville, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Washington.
He was born in Washington May 17, 1934, a son of Leland and Eleanor (Warden) Michel.
He was united in marriage to Shirley Latall July 4, 1953 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rosebud, Mo. He enjoyed farming, gardening and raising cattle all of his life. He also served his country in the U.S. Navy for four years
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leland and Eleanor Michel; one son, Dennis Carl Michel in infancy; two brothers, Neil Michel and Gordon Huff; and one sister, Faith Glawson.
His survivors include his wife, Shirley Michel; his daughter, Pam Haddox and husband Gary of Owensville; two brothers, Bruce Michel and wife Jean of Owensville and Allen Michel of Owensville; one sister, Joan Corrie of Atlanta, Ga.; a sister-in-law, Joan Lee Michel of Jackson, Tenn.; and by several nieces and nephews.
Shirley and Pam would like to express their gratitude for all that Bruce Michel and Dean Michel have done to help out on the farm.
