Daniel Green

Daniel Warren “Dan” Green, 72, Iuka, Ill., died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at his home.

He was born June 17, 1945, to William Warren and Edith (Musgrave) Green, in Breese, Ill.

He was united in marriage to Sally Charlton, Aug. 29, 1969, at the Marshall Creek Baptist Church.

Daniel served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War Era. He was a member of the Iuka Beagle Club and a lifetime member of DAV Chapter of St. Louis.

Daniel was of the Christian faith. He was a passionate outdoorsman who enjoyed coon and rabbit hunting, along with training beagle dogs. He loved fishing and sharing his fishing stories. He was an animal lover and spent much time in his garden.

He was preceded in death by parents, William and Edith; and sister, Margret Deadmond.

He is survived by wife, Sally, of Iuka, Ill.; children, Dan Green of Owensville, Dana Buchhorn and husband Joseph of Benton, Ark., Tim Green and fiancé Savannah Aker of Crothersville, Ind.; grandchildren, Nicholas Green and wife Katelin, Morgan Todd and husband Tolliver, Marshall Buchhorn, Charles Buchhorn, Bryan Buchhorn, Canarissa Buchhorn and Allayna Green; great-grandchild, Brielle Todd; nieces and nephews, Mitchel Deadmond of Kansas City, Roger Deadmond, Matt Deadmond and Brian Deadmond, all of Odin, Ill. and Carla Deadmond of Indiana; as well as nieces and nephew’s of his wife’s family.

Visitation will be (today) Wednesday, Feb. 7, from 6-8 p.m. at Irvin Macz Funeral Home, Odin, Ill.

Celebration of life services will be held Thursday, Feb. 8, at 11 a.m. at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Odin, Ill. with Pastor Kyle Emery officiating. Interment will be in the East Lawn Cemetery of Salem, Ill.
