DWI arrests in county include motorcyclist injured Friday

Four motorists were arrested in Gasconade County since Friday by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on allegations of driving while intoxicated.

One of those arrested included a motorcyclists who went off South Fourth Street at 8:35 p.m. Friday, one-tenth of a mile south of Jackson Avenue.

According to Cpl. Coby Holxschuh’s report, Barry S. Guittar, 56, received serious injuries to both arms when the 2008 Harley Davidson he was driving south went off  the right edge of the roadway, causing him to lose control. The motorcycle returned to the roadway. Guittar was ejected but the motorcycle continued down Fourth Street before striking a ditch on the left side of the street.

He was placed under arrest at 9:15 p.m. on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and released to seek medical care. Guittar was transported by Owensville Area Ambulance District personnel to Mercy Hospital Washington. He was wearing a helmet, according to Holzschuh’s report.

The motorcycle was removed from the scene by family members.

Johanna E. Fleer, 28, Washington, was arrested at 5:33 p.m. Saturday on allegations of driving while intoxicated and speeding. She was placed on a 12-hour hold at the Osage County Jail in Linn.

At 1:10 a.m. Sunday, Kegan J. Hagendorn, 25, Hermann, was arrested on suspicion of DWI and for not having insurance. He was placed on a 12-hour hold in the jail at Linn. 

At 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Jordan C. Crocker, 28, Steelville, was arrested in the county on allegations of DWI and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway. He was taken to the Osage County jail and on the bondable offense.

At 9:20 a.m. Friday, Trooper Drew O’Brien worked a crash on Highway 100 where Crystal D. Stoving, 40, High Ridge, Mo., drove a 1997 Saturn SW2 off the right side of the highway and struck and driveway. The car became airborne, struck the ground, and rolled into a creek in the 2300 block of Highway 100.

Stoving escaped with minor injuries and went to Hermann Area District Hospital for treatment. She was cited for driving while revoked, careless and imprudent driving, for not having insurance, and a arrested at 10:48 a.m. on a misdemeanor Jefferson County warrant for failure to appear on an assault charge. She was taken to the Osage County Jail and held until she posted bond.
