Eula Elizabeth Hopkins, 96, Jefferson City, formerly of Owensville, passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at Capital Regional Medical Center in Jefferson City.
She was born Aug. 1, 1922, to Joseph E. and Ida E. (Wilkenson) Voudrie, at Chester, Ill.
She was united in marriage to Louis A. Hopkins, Oct. 28, 1950, at Chester, Ill.
Eula was a member of the Loyal Order of Eastern Star in Owensville.
She was preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Ida; husband, Louis; brothers, Matthew, Jim and Bob Voudrie; sisters, Hattie Rosie and Helen; and great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Olten.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Corn of Jefferson City; sister, Lois Gadberry of Chester, Ill.; and four grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held (today) Wednesday, Feb. 13, from 9-11 a.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville. An Eastern Star Service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Countryside Memorial Gardens, Owensville. Memorial contributions suggested to family’s choice.
