Fawn follows along on walking trail

David Riggins regularly walks the trail alone at City Park, but Sunday he had an unexpected companion. A baby deer fell into step with him and didn’t falter as the two made several laps around the park. Riggins called his wife, Andrea, who got out of bed to come up and take pictures of the two. She then went home and woke up their visiting granddaughter to come see the fawn. The little deer was so intent on following Riggins, he eventually got into the car with his wife, afraid it would follow him all the way home. The fawn appeared to be an orphan and not sure of what to do. Woods surround much of the park and the Rigginses hope the deer will be able to survive in the cover of the trees.
