Floreine Stockton

Floreine Alice (Auf Der Heide) Stockton, 100, Owensville, formerly of Belle, died May 22, 2018.

She was born April 1, 1918, to Henry John and Una May Tyree Auf Der Heide, at Bland.

She was united in marriage to Winferd Bray “W.B.” “Bud” Stockton, April 8, 1939.

Floreine was employed at the Broom Factory in Bland, the Belle Shoe Factory and Three Rivers Electric Coop before working as a bookkeeper for the lime quarry Bud and Everett Elrod opened in 1953 and later as a bookkeeper for Stockton Charcoal. She also prepared taxes for many local people and was a secretary for the Belle Fair for 15 years.

She was preceded in death by siblings, Florence May, Warren Arthur, Wilma Ruth, David Robert, Lois Marguerite and Sarah Dorrine.

She is survived by son, John and wife Betty, Belle;  three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 25, at Liberty Church of Christ with Randy Carr officiating. Interment was in Grovedale Cemetery near Belle.
