The Gerald Athletic Association(GAA) is organizing a fund-raiser for Ahna Rasmussen.

Ahna is in the sixth grade at Owensville Middle School and is battling papillary thyroid cancer for the second time.

The GAA is encouraging its soccer teams to team up to help Ahna. They will raffle off gift baskets, hold a 50/50 drawing and sell baked goods and barbecue at the soccer games Sat., Oct 14, at City Park.

Ahna was a former softball player on GAA teams.

Coaches and players will be donating the baskets and items to fill them. The community is welcome to join in effort as well.

Baskets, or items for the baskets, can be dropped off by Friday, Oct. 13, at Koehn Realtors, CL Insurance (next to Citizens Bank) or at the concession stand during the games this weekend.
