Governor appoints Schlottach to 911 board

JEFFERSON CITY — Gov. Eric Greitens has appointed Gasconade County’s E-911 operations manager Lisa Schlottach to the Missouri 911 Service Board.

Greitens announced the appointments of Schlottach, along with Pike County Sheriff Stephen Korte and Sonny Saxton, manger of the Mercy Emergency Services Center in Springfield, on Jan. 3.

“It is a great honor for me to serve our state in this capacity,” Schlottach said in an email to The Republican. “I want you to know, and our community, that it is only with your support, the support of my Board of Directors, my staff and family that I am able to help make positive, life-saving, progress for 911 services across our state.”

Schlottach, who has a Gerald address but resides in Gasconade County, has more than 21 years of experience in emergency communications, according to the governor’s office. Schlottach was instrumental in beginning the Missouri 911 Directors Association, where she served as president for six years. She is currently serving the board as president. Schlottach has also worked as a consultant for many 911 agencies across the state.

Her appointment is subject to confirmation by the Missouri Senate.

Schlottach said she was contacted by Sen. Mike Kehoe about the confirmation process which included a letter of support from the majority floor leader. A hearing has yet to be scheduled but was expected to take place in the near future according to the senator’s staff.
