Kleo Pohlmann

Kleo Maurice Pohlmann, 84, Rosebud, died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, at his residence.

He was born Jan. 17, 1934, to Chris and Adela (Kopp) Pohlmann at Pershing. 

He was united in marriage to Marian J. Marsch, Aug. 20, 1955, at Bay.

Kleo served his country with the U.S. Army, serving with the 82nd Airborne Paratroopers. He was a carpenter by trade, building residential buildings and also taught Building Trades for over 10 years in Owensville Schools. He was a charter member of Rosebud Lions Club.

He was preceded in death by parents, Chris and Adela; wife, Marian; and brothers, Kermit and Darwin Pohlmann.

He is survived by special friend of 21 and one half years, Georgeann Kinsley of Owenville; daughters, Patricia Moore of Eagle River, Alaska and Rhonda Wehmeyer and husband Donald of Rosebud; brothers, Kenneth Pohlmann and wife Helen of St. Louis, Melvin Pohlmann and wife Edna Mae and James Pohlmann and wife Puddy, all of Hermann, and Larry Pohlmann and wife Lisa of Lampassas, Texas; sisters; Darlene D’Angelo of St. Louis, Evelyn Plegge and husband Gene of Linn, Marilyn Hoffstetter and husband Dale of Jefferson City, Janet McHale and husband Jack of St. Louis and Mary Ann Warman and husband Roland of Jefferson City; grandchildren, Kurtis Wehmeyer, Christopher Moore and wife Marie and Stephanie Moore; great-granddaughter, Willow Moore; and sister-in-law, Eileen Pohlmann of Rosebud.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 1, from 4-8 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 2 at 10 a.m. at Boeuff Presbyterian Church in Gerald with Pastor Ron Kopplemann Jr. officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Bay.
