Martin Richard Shockley, 69, Owensville, passed away Monday, April 8, 2019, at Linn Creek.
He was born Sept. 24, 1949, to Gilbert and Mattie (Davis) Shockley, at Washington.
He was united in marriage to Betty Bunners, Sept. 2, 1967, at United Methodist Church, in Owensville.
Martin retired from Missouri State Highway Department. He loved to fish and spend time with his grandsons.
He was preceded in death by parents, Gilbert and Mattie; and nephew Mark Ray Shockley Jr.
He is survived by wife, Betty, of the home; son, Tim Shockley and wife Tonja of Owensville; brothers, Mark Ray Shockley Sr. and wife Debbie of Owensville; and grandchildren, Trevor and Tucker Shockley.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 11, at Gottenstroeter Chapel with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating. Burial was in Countryside Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville.
