Marvin Newburg Roark, 69, Owensville, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born April 30, 1948, to Raymond and Beatrice (Hicks) Roark, in St. James.

He was united in marriage to Irma Jean Limberg, Jan. 28, 1968, in Owensville.

Marvin was a logger by trade and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Beatrice Roark, and brothers, Charles, Faron and Roger Roark.

He is survived by wife, Irma Jean Roark of the home; sons, Terry Roark and wife Chrissie of Caledonia and Gary Roark of Owensville; brother, Hubert Roark and wife Sue of St. James; sisters, Oma Picker of Belle and Sharon Roark of High Point; grandchildren, Brandon and Kevin Roark, Stephanie Stout and husband John and Jamie, Gary Jr. and Brady Ames; great-grandchildren, Lillian, Skye and Madison; brothers and sisters in-law, Ronnie and Wanda Limberg of Belle, Mike and Jeannine Limberg of Owensville, David and Jane Limberg of Gerald, Vicky Doyle of Washington and Debbie Limberg of Belle; special friend, Carol Koepke; and lots of family and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 28 at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating. Burial was in Countryside Memorial Gardens.
