One new and two returning aldermen took their seats after being sworn in last Thursday during a re-organizational meeting at Gerald City Hall.
New Mayor Hillary Ward made some of her appointments once everyone took their seats.
Jane Hungler will remain the city’s treasurer in addition to her duties as City Clerk.
Kent Richardson and Ed Adams were appointed to the Police and Public Works standing committees.
Angela Koepke and Richardson will serve on the Business, Industry and Grants committee.
The Parks and Beautification committee will be manned by Koepke and Adams.
Adams will serve as the aldermanic representative on the Planning and Zoning Commission. Koepke will serve as such on the Parks Commission.
While Ward declined to appoint any members to fill out the Planning and Zoning Commission, she did reappoint Breanne Tucker and Tina Delmastro to the Park Commission.
Adams was elected by his peers to serve as president of the board.
The new board quickly cleared up some minor matters. They agreed to meet in a special meeting Wednesday, April 17, at 4:30 p.m. to discuss codification of city codes.
