After 11 years of performing their Singing Christmas Tree in red collars, vocalists in the First Baptist Church program donned blue and silver-trimmed collars for their 2018 performances held this past weekend. Maryann Stone, Dr. Brian Edwards, Ken Kitchen, Burl Cummins, and John Larmer perform during their show Sunday evening. Duane Berry, musical director for the program, said Teresa Probst created the new collars for this year’s show. Berry’s wife, Diane, who coordinates the tree decorating with other women in the choir, began the make-over to the blue and silver color scheme following last year’s program. The new collars are reversible with red and gold on the other side. Sizes of the decorations were also increased.
