Owensville Girl Scout troops held their bridging ceremony May 14 at Owensville’s Memorial Park.

In attendance were 19 members of the Daisy Troop 30906, Brownie Troop 30258, Junior Troop 30477 and Cadette Troop 34941.

Zoie Wilson bridged from Daisy Scouts to Brownie Scouts. Story Stahl, Kinley Peterman, Kaydence Gibson and Jolissa Yoder bridged from Brownie Scouts to Junior Scouts and Scarlett Wilson bridged from Junior Scouts to Cadette Scouts.

Also at the ceremony, the troop members received several patches and badges they earned for activities such as attending a Christmas party, gardening, participating in World Thinking Day and other activities in which the girls explored new skills.

Troop members also received their incentives for troop sales. The troop sold 5,186 boxes of cookies. Daisy Scouts sold 761, Brownie Scouts sold 3,959 and Junior Scouts sold 466.

Top cookie sellers were Brooklyn Kramme with 1,000 boxes, Jolissa Yoder with 500 boxes, and Molly Emke and Ariebella Isom, each with 400 boxes sold.

Linda Pirtle, Erin Kramme and Tiphani Isom are troop leaders of the local Girl Scouts troops.

This summer, Owensville Girl Scout troops will participate in a variety of activities including trips to the St. Louis Zoo and St. Louis Museum, hiking in Canaan, overnight camping, and a pool party.

Owensville Girl Scout troops meet every Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Owensville Christian Church. Beginning in the fall, they will meet Thursdays at 5 p.m. at a local church that is yet to be announced. Registration day will be held in August.
