Ralph August “Red” Merk, 82, Rosebud, passed away Friday, April 5, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Washington.
He was born Dec. 16, 1936, to Henry W. and Nora (Brauks) Merk, at Gerald.
He was united in marriage to Florence Olga Rehmert, May 10, 1965, at Fairless Hills, Penn.
Ralph enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Nora; wife, Florence; and brother, Melbourne Merk.
He is survived by sisters, Margie Altemeyer and Mary Wardensky; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 13, from 10-11 a.m. at New Salem Baptist Church near Owensville. Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jack Kurrelmeyer officiating. Interment of ashes will be at New Salem Cemetery.
