Robert Lee Anielak, 88, Mexico, formerly of Owensville, passed away Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018, at Missouri Veteran’s Home in Mexico.
He was born Aug. 21, 1930, to Bernard and Myrtle (Perrot) Anielak, at St. Louis.
He was united in marriage to Irene T. Garrison, April 11, 1953, at St. Louis.
Robert had served his county with the United States Army and was a member of VFW Post 6133.
He was preceded in death by parents, Bernard and Myrtle; wife, Irene; and brother, Gary Anielak.
He is survived by daughters, Margaret Hinsen and husband Rickie of Moberly and Kathleen Marquart and husband John of Holts Summit; brother, Lee Anielak and wife Judy of Affton; sister-in-law, Paula Anielak of Collinsville, Ill.; grandchildren, Justin Hinsen and wife Ashley, Jason Hinsen and wife Kelly and Jonathan Marquart; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 19, at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville from 9:30-10:45 a.m. with VFW services at 10:45 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Owensville City Cemetery with full military honors.
