Robert C. Dodson Sr., 79, Bland passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at University Hospital in Columbia.
He was born July 2, 1939, to Robert Ewell and Onla Bride “Inman” Dodson, in Trimble, Tenn..
Robert was employed as a police officer with St. Louis City for a number of years. He later was the pastor at First Baptist Church of Bland for 16 years. The majority of his life, he spent farming and enjoyed working the land.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter in law: Kathy Dodson; one brother: Donald Dodson; and one infant sister.
He is survived by wife: Kathryn; sons: Robert C. Dodson Jr. (Mary) of St. James, Thomas E. Dodson of Bland; two daughters: Diana L. Dodson McDonough of Concord, Patricia D. Dodson of Bland; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two brothers: Jerry Dodson (Cathy) of St. Louis, Freddie Dodson (Janet) of St. Louis; two sisters: Sharon Haney (Danny) of Jonesboro, Ark., Rhonda Pierce (Keith) of Jonesboro, Ark.
