American Legion Post No. 587 of Rosebud

With the end of the Gasconade County fair, Rosebud Memorial Post 587 concluded their raffle of a beautiful Henry American Heritage rifle. The raffle was tremendously successful in raising money for the Post to support their ongoing projects.

These projects are the Post’s way of giving to the community in return for the support provided to the Post by the community. Projects such as American Legion baseball, Boys sand Girls State, Legion Oratorical contest, The School Awards Medal program and the Gene E. Powell Memorial Scholarship — in addition to the assistance given to fellow veterans — would not be possible without everyone who helped with this latest raffle.

The membership of the Post appreciates and values the support of the community in these fund-raising activities. Without the wonderful people that bought tickets and the organizations that helped sell our tickets for the raffle we would be unable to support our projects. While you may not have won the rifle you won our gratitude for the support that comes from just purchasing a ticket for a chance to win.

This simple act of a ticket purchase provides a lasting memorial to our past, present and future veterans and for that we say thank you for your support and may God bless you and this great nation called America.
