Sen. Blunt visit to Jahabow featured round-table talk with local leaders

Thirty-three area business leaders and elected officials joined U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt for a 45-minute round-table discussion Tuesday afternoon on trade, tariffs, agriculture, education, school safety, and banking during his visit to the Jahabow plant in Owensville. Blunt was given a brief tour of the plant by Daryl “Hootie” Decker, director of operations and John Dolan, company president and CEO. Blunt had the chance to examine a 3D-printed mold (below, far right) made in 2017 by Owensville High School STEM-lab students which was then used to create the metal frame for a high-security case now in production at the facility.
