Sheriff's Report

The following is a summary calls responded to by Gasconade County Sheriff’s deputies from Jan. 8-14, 2018. A total of 42 reports were generated on various calls for service. 

Jan 8: motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Routes B and C near Bland. Kristofer Eoff of Belle, was traveling along Route B at a speed too fast for icy conditions, was unable to maintain control of his vehicle and slid off the roadway colliding with the ditch.  No injuries were reported.

Jan. 10: report of fight in progress at the Colorado Café, 102 W. Colorado Ave., Bland. Veronica Johnson was arrested on outstanding warrants from Gasconade and Franklin counties. Johnson was transported to Phelps Regional Hospital and after a fit for confinement order was issue by the doctor, she was transported to the Crawford County Jail.

Jan. 10: motor vehicle collision near 3751 Homeyer Road south of Owensville. Midred Beckler, Owensville, lost control of her vehicle, collided with a tree and overturned.  Beckler sustained moderate injuries and was transported from the scene by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Washington for treatment. 

Jan. 10: motor vehicle collision on Route F near Walz Road south of Hermann. Caramie Zumsteg, Hermann, was traveling on Route F and collided with an adult cow. The vehicle sustained minor damage. No obvious injuries were observed on the cow. No injuries were reported by Zumsteg.

Jan. 11: arrested Ashley Bell of Hazelwood on outstanding warrant.  Bell is held without bond in Crawford County Jail on a probation violation from a possession of a controlled substance charge.

Jan. 11: arrested Darek McMahom of Hermann on an outstanding warrant alleging three (3) counts of burglary and three (3) counts of stealing. He was transported to the Crawford County Jail. Bond was set at $30,000.

Jan. 12: vandalism reported in 1900 block of Krausetown Road in Owensville.  Car owner reported someone threw eggs on her car during the overnight hours. 

Jan. 12: assist Missouri State Highway Patrol with a motor vehicle collision on Fowler Road near U.S. 50 near Bay.

Jan. 12: assist Owensville police on report of an alarm sounding.  Checked property and ensured that the residence was secure.  

Jan. 13: assist Gerald-Rosebud Fire Department during fire along U.S. 50 east of Rosebud.

Jan. 14: report of a domestic disturbance in 100 block of East Colorado Avenue in Bland.
