Three-vehicle crash leaves Gerald man with minor injuries

Benjamin J. Bearden, 42, of Gerald received minor injuries in a three-vehicle accident Thursday, Nov. 2. 

Bearden was driving a 2004 Dodge Ram when he was stopped in southbound traffic on Highway 47 at Clearview Road at 5:43 p.m. 

Zackary Busse, 20, of Washington was stopped behind Bearden in a 2008 Dodge Avenger.  

Patrick H. Pues, 50, of Union came upon the stopped vehicles and struck the rear of Busse’s car with his 2004 Pontiac Vibe. This pushed Busse’s car into the rear of Bearden’s truck. 

Busse received moderate injuries in the crash, while Pues sustained minor injuries. Both were taken by Union ambulance to Mercy Washington. 

 Bearden also received minor injuries, but went to Mercy Washington by private conveyance. His truck had only minor damage.

All drivers were using their seat belts. 

The Vibe was moderately damaged while the Avenger had extensive damage.
