Towed vehicle, trailer damaged in rear-end crash by MFA

Tyler K. Bailey, 30, Union, makes a phone call Monday at the scene of the crash where Calvin K. Murray, 54, Cuba, rear-ended his dual-axel trailer at 6:01 p.m. as he was turning into the MFA fuel station on Highway 28 to fuel a flatbed Dodge Ram 1500. The towed Dodge Challenger and the trailer were damaged. Murray’s 1985 Toyota T-100 pickup truck overturned and came to a stop cross-ways in the middle of the highway. Traffic was diverted around the crash scene through the MFA driveway. Both men were wearing seats. Murray declined medical treatment, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper Bruce Baker. Bailey’s son, Caleb, 1, was secured in a child safety seat and was not hurt.
