Two girls were injured while on an ATV north of Gerald Friday evening, May 24.

Mikayla A. McFerrin, 14, of Berger was driving a 2006 Honda Rubicon southbound on Hoemann Road, north of Stone Church Road at 7:30 p.m. She traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned. She and a passenger, Brooklin M. Roberts, 13, of Gerald were ejected in the crash.

Both girls were using safety devices, according to a report filed by Tpr. M. A. Frigy, with Troop C of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Roberts was taken by New Haven ambulance to Mercy Washington in serious condition.

McFerrin was taken to the same hospital in a private vehicle.

The ATV had moderate damage, but was driven from the scene.
