A suspicious odor led Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputies to a residence on the 1000 block of Wrights Lodge Road on Friday, Oct. 3, at approximately 6:13 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office received a call of a suspicious odor in the 1000 block of Wrights Lodge Road. This is according to a FCSD press release.

Upon attempting to make contact with the occupants, deputies heard movement inside the residence. Two subjects came outside of the residence. Due to the potential hazard, deputies made entry in to the residence. A third subject was located along with substances believed to be methamphetamine and a lab. Three subjects were arrested for investigation of narcotics violations. They are a white male, age 43 from that residence, a white female, age 42 from St. Clair, and a white female, age 43 also from St. Clair.

Three nights later on Monday, Oct. 6, deputies were called to a report of a burglary at the Delta Motel in Stanton. While at that location, they noticed tanks and paraphernalia commonly associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine in a vehicle on the parking lot.

Deputies made contact with the owner of the vehicle who lived in the complex. He was known to have prior involvement with methamphetamine, according to county authorities. Further investigation revealed that one of the tanks contained anhydrous ammonia. A white male, age 44 from Stanton was taken in to custody for investigation of narcotics violations.
