Sometime between the hours of 11 a.m., and noon on Thursday, Feb. 14, a funeral procession for Kirkwood Police Sergeant William Biggs will enter Franklin County on its way to the Biggs residence.

Beginning in St. Louis, the procession will travel west on Interstate 44 to the U.S. 50 Union and Jefferson City exit. Once on 50, the procession will continue west to the intersection of U.S. 50 and Route C.

People who travel this section of U.S. 50 are encouraged to find alternate routes as the road will be heavily congested as the funeral procession passes through the county.

This procession will stop at the Biggs residence for a private ceremony for law enforcement, EMS personnel and immediate family members.

Biggs was one of six people who had their lives tragically ended when a gunman entered Kirkwood City Hall and simply started shooting.
