Owensville High School senior Jacob Mouser won first place for his sculpture entry in the Four River Conference Art Show judged this spring at East Central College. Mouser, of Owensville, also received Best of Show honors for his three-dimensional entry.

Mouser’s entry, along with other winning and placing entries, is on display through tomorrow (Thursday) in the ECC Fine Arts Gallery in Union. Along with the sculpture win, Mouser, of Owensville, also received an honorable mention award in ceramics. Mouser is the son of Audra and Jerry Mouser.

Lisa Dawson, a sophomore from Leslie, placed third in the color drawing competition and an honorable mention in painting. Lana Altemeyer, a senior from Owensville, was an honorable mention recipient in  painting.

Meighan Weaver, a junior from Rosebud, placed second in mixed media and earned an honorable mention for her color drawing entry.

Matt Grellner, a senior from Owensville, placed third in ceramics. Taylor Yanskey, a senior from Owensville, was third in design competition. Gabby Miller, a senior from Gerald, earned honorable mention honors in design. Earning an honorable mention award in ceramics was Simon Misener, a junior from Rosebud.

Owensville High School’s art department is directed by Sherri White.  A photograph of the award-winning OHS students with their creations will appear at a later date once their entries have returned from the exhibition.
