Matt Angell (18) tries to elude West defenders (from left) Tyler Oglesby (28, Maryville H.S.,) and Caleb Haynes (21, Lafayette County H.S.) during action from the 32nd annual Missouri Lions Football All-Star Game last Saturday on the campus of the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg.
Angell will continue his football playing days as a Lion at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo. Zeb Dintelman (58) blocks Harrisonville Wildcat Spencer Murry (below, left) as the East defeated the West by a score of 47-17 in a game called after three quarters due to lightning. Former Paris Coyote quarterback Joe Gilliam (below, right) attempts to throw a pass while Dintelman protects him. Murry and Dintelman may meet up again as Dintelman will continue his football career at Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Mo., while Murry will suit up for the Pioneers of Mid-America Nazarene University in Olathe, Kan. Both schools are part of the Heart of America Athletic Conference which has schools from Missouri, Kansas and Iowa competing in numerous sports.
