The pole is on the right side of the small field. Pierce reports that the board will probably have the pole replaced by Ameren UE. Talks are ongoing, but something should be resolved in the next few days. That pole holds the electric box that controls all the lights on that field. The light system at both ball fields was installed about 30 years ago and many of the poles are rotting at their base. The board asked for bids to replace the entire system, but doesn’t have the money to do the work at this time. They will discuss their options at their next regular meeting on Aug. 19 at Legion Hall.
