Hilda Wilhelmine Moeller , 91, of Maplewood, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2008 at St. Mary’s Hospital in St. Louis. Hilda was born on July 26, 1917 at Old Woollam to the late Henry and Minnie Schlottach Moeller. She was a member of Samuel United Church of Christ of Clayton; the St. Louis Peregrine Society and the Brothers of Religious Organizations. She volunteered many hours sewing on a treadle sewing machine for charity. Although Hilda worked and lived in St. Louis, she loved to spend time in the Owensville area. She was preceded in death by her twin siblings, Fredrich Moeller and Frieda Hilkerbaumer. Her survivors include her sister, Sophia Estes of Centennial, Col.; her brother-in-law, Herbert Hilkerbaumer of Loveland, Col.; two nephews, Steven Estes of Centennial, Col. and Mark Estes and wife Kersten of Colorado Springs, Col.; her niece, Nancy Murray and husband Douglas of Centennial, Col.; and a special cousin, Lydia Schmidt of Maplewood. Funeral services were held on Monday, Aug.18, at the Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville with Rev. Jeff Groene officiating. Burial in the St. John’s Old Woollam Cemetery in Woollam.
