Raymond J. Schulte, 83 of Owensville, died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008 at New Haven Care Center. Raymond was born in Stony Hill on Nov. 20, 1924, to the late William and Anna “Mary” (Holtgrewe) Schulte. He was united in marriage to Anita Suedmeyer on Oct. 15, 1949 at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Hermann. She preceded him in death on July 27, 2005. He was a member of St. James Church, Stony Hill. He worked as a machinist and was a retired farmer. He was also preceded in death by two brothers Milfred and Ervin Schulte and a sister, Frieda Meitvier. His survivors include two children, Glen Schulte of Kansas City and Debbie Schwentker and husband Randy of New Haven; two grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Mabel Schulte of Owensville. Funeral services were held at St. James Church, Stony Hill on Saturday, Aug. 16 with Rev. Tom Lloyd officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorials may be given to St. James Cemetery C/O Toedtmann-Grosse Funeral Home. |
