I thought it was great that Nathan got a certificate of appreciation for being the quarterback for the past two years.  I also thought the appropriate thing for the school district to have done would have been to give that to every senior that played football last year. Not one of those young men could have done what they did, without the other boys helping them every step of the way. OHS just lost many talented football players.

The majorities of these boys followed the rules, did great in school, are terrific athletes and overall good citizens. It just saddens me that the school district felt it necessary to pick one young man to receive this award when they were all deserving. It reminded me of the football coaching staff last year, they just didn’t know how to handle all the talent that they had on the team so they felt it necessary to just focus in on a chosen few. This group of young men will be greatly missed by all who went out each and every Friday to watch some great football.
