William Edward August Wehrend, 85, Owensville, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Washington.
He was born July 30, 1933, to William H.F. and Lorena (Fiegler) Wehrend, at Owensville.
William served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church at Charlotte, a life member of VFW Post 6133 and a life member of the N.R.A.
He was preceded in death by parents, William and Lorena; sister, Helen Turner; and a brother in infancy.
He is survived by son, William F.C. Wehrend and wife Lisa of Foristell; brother, Walter Wehrend of Owensville; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 19, at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Charlotte with Rev. Paul Landgraf officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with full military honors.
