ELDON — More often than not, having more turnovers than points scored will not help a team win a basketball game.

Dwayne Clingman's Owensville Dutchgirls found this out the hard way in the MSHSAA Class 4, District 9 Championship Game against the Class 4, fourth ranked St. James Lady Tigers at Eldon High School Friday night.

Opening the game with a 2-0 lead, Owensville found themselves trailing at halftime by a score of 28-17. In the second half, St. James outscored the Dutchgirls by a 20-2 score to post a 48-19 victory and advance to a Class 4 sectional game at Lebanon High School on Wednesday, March 3 at 6 p.m., against West Plains.
