According to the patrol, on March 9, officers from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol shot and killed an armed suspect, after that person led officers on a pursuit and then fired a weapon at them east of St. James. Contact with Greer was initiated Tuesday morning in Cuba by the Cuba Police Department and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department after the U.S. Secret Service had notified Cuba police that Greer may be in the area. Felony warrants had been issued for his arrest from the state of Texas. The felony warrants issued for Greer were for assault, a drug violation, and engaging in organized crime.
