Eunice P. Eberlin, 82, of Owensville, formerly of Hermann, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at Gasconade Manor Nursing Home in Owensville.
Eunice was born Sept. 15, 1929, in Bland to the late John and Mathilda (Schneider) Laubert. She attended grade school at Mount Sterling Country School and graduated from Linn High School. She then attended Missouri State Teachers College in Warrensburg enabling her to teach school at Lower Little Berger and Drake Country School. On April 30, 1950, she married Howard A. Eberlin at the Baptist Church in Owensville. Together, they started Eberlin Boats & Motors in Hermann in June 1955. The business is still located at the same site, and is currently run by their son. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Hermann where she taught Sunday School for 25 years.
Her husband and a sister, Norma June Frey preceded her in death.
Eunice is survived by two sons, Dale Eberlin and wife Patty and Mark Eberlin and wife Pauline, all of Hermann;a sister-in-law, Audrey Eberlin of Hermann; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held today, Feb. 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home in Hermann. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Rick Riedel will be the officiant. Burial will be at Oak Haven Memorial Gardens, Hermann.
