Seven OHS athletes punch state tickets
ohs_track_307jOZARK — Seeing two school records go down during district track in Jefferson City last weekend, it was only fitting to see two more be broken Saturday at Ozark in one of four Class 3 sectional track meets held throughout the state.“Everyone did a great job competing today,” OHS head track coach Matt Candrl said. “Even though everyone did not get through (to state), I like our chances to have a number of all-state kids next weekend.”
Trimming six seconds from the old record at districts, Owensville’s Girls 4x800-meter relay team of Emily Ellis, Hailey Diestelkamp, Kayla Charboneau and Hannah Baehr were shooting for a time under 10 minutes over the weekend.
Farrell earns conference, district baseball honors
Overcoming a 2-for-15 start to the season at the plate, Dutchmen sophomore Landon Farrell picked it up the rest of the way and was rewarded for his efforts.

Diestelkamp ties OHS high jump mark
Dutchgirl freshman Hailey Diestelkamp cleared five feet in the girl’s high jump last Tuesday in a three-team track meet at Pacific to become the fifth female athlete at Owensville High School to reach the five-foot mark in the high jump.
