Michael O’Neill Printy, 59, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
Michael was born Jan. 2, 1965, to Louis and Geraldine Marie (Jackson) Printy in Fort Riley, Kan.
He was united in marriage to Cindy Huesgen, April 9, 1988, at Immaculate Conception Church in Owensville.
Mike graduated from Owensville High School in 1983. Mike was an electrician for IBEW Local #1 Electricians Union. He loved to spend time outdoors hunting and fishing and riding his beloved mules and horses. Mike loved spending time with his friends and family. He always had a story or two to tell and some may even say he was the life of the party. He enjoyed watching John Wayne western movies and was a member of the Jackson Street Gang. In his later years, he enjoyed patrolling the Mt. Sterling area county roads. Mike was kind, generous, and loved to make people laugh and smile.
He is preceded in death by parents Louis and Geraldine; brothers, “Skip” Louis Printy and Charles in infancy; sisters, LouAnn Sanders and Geraldine “Jerry” Kormeier; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Kormeier.
Mike is survived by wife, Cindy; son, Michael Printy of Mt. Sterling; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bob and Shirley Huesgen of Owensville; brother, Don Printy and wife Barbara of Kansas; and many nieces and nephews.
His body was cremated.
An amazing Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements were entrusted to Gottenstroeter Funeral Home.
