Stanley Junior Carwile, 82, Owensville, passed away Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, at his home.

He was born July 15, 1936, to John Frank and Cora Mae (Branson) Carwile.

He was united in marriage to Minnie “Ruth” Jenkins, Jan. 14, 1956.

Stanley retired as a motor grader operator from Missouri Department of Transportation after 40 years of service.

He loved spending time with family and his grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling with family, gardening and taking care of the yard. He especially loved his strawberry patch and working with bee hives.

He was preceded in death by son, Scott Carwile; parents, John and Cora; brothers, Earl, Beryl, Floyd and Benny Carwile; sisters, Winferd Morgan, Wilma Mistler, Eva Mae Carwile and Dorsey Carwile.

He is survived by wife, Ruth; daughter, Sara Carwile; son, Kevin Carwile and wife Cindy of Rosebud; daughter-in-law, Tamela Carwile; sister, Verlee Ellis and husband Oscar “Sonny”; grandchildren, Travis Horstmann and wife Natalie of O’Fallon, Denise Horstmann and friend Bob White of Bonnor Springs, Kan., Thad Carwile and wife Amy of Bland, Cory Carwile of Jefferson City, Ethan Carwile of Springfield, Tabitha Myers and Stefanie of Morgantown, W.V., Shannon Short and husband Bryan of Union and Amanda Hackstedt and husband Brad of Gerald; great-grandchildren, Zach, Hunter, Domonic, Lilliana, Alec, Dylan, Haylee, Logan, Garrett and Parker; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

His remains were cremated and no services are planned at this time. Memorial contributions suggested to Liberty Baptist Church of Owensville.
