Esther Lucille Pigg, 80, of St. Louis County, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Union Care Center in Union.
She was born Nov. 9, 1943, to Fred Franklin and Ollie (Price) Poetting in Owensville.
Esther enjoyed playing bingo and doing diamond art. She loved to sing and dance at Oak Lodge and was a very big Elvis Presley fan.
She was preceded in death by parents, Fred and Ollie; and siblings, Henry Doermann, Tommy Doermann, Helen Poetting, Joyce Poetting and Lois Eikermann.
She is survived by daughters, Sherry Gutermuth of Chamois, Mary Terzich of St. Louis and Stacie Maxey of Union; siblings, Lonnie Poetting of Henderson, Tenn., Rae Jean Amptmann of St. Louis and Bonnie Thompson of Owensville; and eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 28, at Gottenstroeter Chapel with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating. Burial was in St. James United Church of Christ Cemetery in Charlotte.
