Glenn Charles Rose, 76, of Owensville, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024, at his residence.
He was born May 2, 1948, to William Joseph and Agnes Effie (Bullington) Rose at Washington.
He was united in marriage to Lois Reed Nov. 2, 1989, at Waco, Texas.
Glenn was a member of Immaculate Conception Church of Owensville. He was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus; a member of VFW Post 6133 and the Owensville Moose Lodge. He served his country in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by parents, William and Agnes; brothers, Billy and Howard Rose; and sister, Sandra Rose.
Glenn is survived by wife, Lois; children, Kevin Rose and wife Angela of Killeen, Texas, Lisa Hawkins and husband Robert of Abilene, Texas; Rodney “Scott” Rose and wife Dianna of Gatesville, Texas, Michael Walsh of Bland, Tina Galloway and husband Larry of Salem, John Walsh of Owensville, and Joey Gaska of Keller, Texas; sisters, Sharon McClellan and husband Bob of Goreville, Ill., and Delores Walker and husband Jim of Owensville; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday (today), May 29, from 4–8 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, May 30, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Owensville with celebrant Father Philip Kane officiating. He will be buried with full military honors at Old Bohemian Catholic Cemetery in Owensville.
Memorials may be given to Catholic Charities or to VFW Post 6133.
