Jane Ann Copeland, 68, Freeburg, passed away Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, in Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis.
She was born Nov. 5, 1955, to the late Charles L. and Nancy A. (Isenberg) Verhoff in Jefferson City.
She was united in marriage to Lawrence W. Copeland May 11, 1985, at First Baptist Church in Vienna.
Jane worked as an LPN for Memorial Hospital, Columbia Regional and Urology Care Inc., for 30 plus years; as a pharmacy technician at Whaley’s Pharmacy in Jefferson City for 10 years; and cleaned houses prior to fully retiring
She was preceded in death by first husband, James Edward Phillips; parents, Charles and Nancy; and brothers, James Richard Verhoff and Charles Henry Verhoff.
Jane is survived by husband, Lawrence of Freeburg; son, James “Jimi” Phillips and wife Jodie of Freeburg; granddaughter, Sadie; brother, David Conrad Verhoff of Niantic, Conn.; sister, Judith Cathrine Nichols and husband Jack of Ashland; and sisters-in-law, Kay Verhoff of Mesa, Ariz. and Faye Verhoff of Kansas City, Mo.
No services planned. A private family gathering was held.
